There’s Hope For Diabetes Reversal

One of my favorite words in the English language is hope. I use this word often, without giving it much thought. I hope I’ll have time to play basketball on Tuesday. I hope I make it to the airport in time for my flight. I hope my dog Bolt will stop chewing up my stuff.

I also hope for more important things. I hope my family is safe. I hope my kids make good decisions. I hope my life is meaningful.

Hope is a universal need. We can’t live without it. Research shows that hopeful people are happier, healthier, and more productive. Hopefulness is associated with increased academic and work performance and decreased risk of disease and premature death. But what exactly is hope, and why is it so important?

Hope is the feeling that what is desired could actually be possible.

Why is hope powerful? Because when we believe a goal is possible, we’re much more likely to invest the time and effort to make it a reality.

So what does this have to do with diabetes? Actually, everything. In the last section, we learned about the old diabetes paradigm, which teaches that type 2 diabetes is a chronic and irreversible disease. Doesn’t sound like a very hopeful prognosis, does it?

But the new diabetes paradigm is full of hope. It’s good news! The vast majority of type 2 diabetes cases can be reversed! A healthy, disease-free life is actually within your reach! Let’s look at an example of someone who learned to hope again:

Isn’t this story powerful? Mario had the courage to embrace the new diabetes paradigm and give it 100%. Because they believed that change was possible, they were motivated to make healthy choices. These are just a few of many former diabetics who transformed their health, all starting with a paradigm shift.

I’m just one of a growing number of clinicians and researchers who believe that lifestyle is a powerful tool to prevent or reverse type 2 diabetes and many other diseases.

What about you? What’s your health story? Would you like to experience some of the same results as Mario? The good news is that you can.

It all starts in your mind. Your health paradigm will determine your health destiny.

Why not shift that paradigm today?
