Is Vitamin B12 a Concern for Vegetarians and Vegans?

Vitamin B12 is a nutrient vegetarians and vegans may have trouble obtaining from their diets, but is it something we should really be concerned about?

We recently had the privilege of attending the 6th International Congress on Vegetarian Nutrition (ICVN) at Loma Linda University. There we spoke with Claus Leitzmann Ph.D, an internationally recognized expert on nutrition. He was more than willing to answer our questions.
